Speeding across Teesta river valley & beautiful Tea gardens, when you finally enter Rishyap in the domain of clouds & lofty pines, you must admit there’s an element of mystery & magic in the air. The cool clouds streaming down the hills guarded by the Mighty Enchantress-the Kanchenjunga, the lush green forests where pines, birchs & maples compete to reach out to the sky and thousands of birds conjure up a sweet melody, the vast stretch of mountains rising from the ‘Valley of Flowers’ secretly summons you. Walk through the garden of the Valley to meet the fuschias, lilies & orchids dotting the garden put-up a riot of colours, the apple, peach & pear orchards are just a stone's throw away. Rooms & Tariffs —

Two self-contained cottage with two triple bed and one family cottage with two double bed of facing Neora Valley National Park have tariff of 1,100 & 1,200 per guest for a day subsequently. Cottages are wood finished with attached bath, western style toilet, flower garden, orchard & vegetable patch, parking lot, pet friendly & not the least 100% privacy & security.
Locally grown produce is used in homely spreads of roti, dal, chicken curry, vegetables and seasonal local saag.

Snow White & her Dwarfs!

Don’t forget your ‘appo’ with ‘Kanchenjunga’ at 4:30 am, it’ll be simply divine. Then relish over a cup of ‘oolong’ tea & steaming ‘momos’. You can also explore the ‘Neora Valley National Park’ & the imposing ‘Chhenge’ falls through off beat trekking routes from here. A trip to the mystic ‘Lava Monastery’ amidst the foggy pine forests will evoke a sense of spiritual happiness in you. Come winter, the chilling snow fall gives a new get-up to the ‘Valley of Flowers’. Well, that’s another fairytale of Snow White & her Dwarfs!!

Reaching Rishyap…

Rishyap is 3 hours drive from Darjeeling and 3½ hours from Siliguri. It is well accessible by roadway either directly from Siliguri or via Darjeeling and Kalimpong. The closest railway station of the destination is New Jalpaiguri, located at a distance of 110 kms via Kalimpong and 120 kms via Gorubathan. The Bagdogra Airport is 114 km away from Rishyap. Lava is also located close to Rishyap and many tourists also prefer to trek from Lava to this quaint village of Rishyap.
