Medieval history of ‘Peshok Tea Estate’

The name ‘Peshok’ is of Lepcha origin and essentially denotes the jungle the dense subtropical jungle or forest of the Teesta valley commences from here, hence the name.
In the heart of Darjeeling Hills, the Peshok Tea Estate, located on both sides of the spur SW of the confluence of the Teesta and Rungeet river and bounded by the Takdah RF, Rangit RF, Peshok RF and the Mangwa Hill, covering an area of 305.7 hectares and an altitude zone rising from a semi-tropical 1,200 ft to a temperate 6,000 ft.

Location —

Peshok lies in route the arterial state highway connecting Darjeeling to Kalimpong and Gangtok, through Teesta. Nearest rail-head New Jalpaiguri is 65 km through Teesta bazar. This picturesque journey is normally punctuated by a break by practically all travelers along this circuit at Peshok even today.

Payment Policy

25% deposit is charged in by Bhramonik upon reservation. 50% of total to be paid in behalf of Chyabari Homestay after booking. Final balance to be paid to Chyabari Homestay after arrival.

Cancellation Policy

If government travel restrictions or hotel closure prevents your stay, the initial deposit paid to Bhramonik may be freely transferred to a future booking through Bhramonik (T&Cs apply).

For cancellations less than 90 days before arrival, Chyabari Homestay will keep/charge 50% of total. For cancellations less than 30 days before arrival, Chyabari Homestay will keep/charge full amount. For no-shows or early departures, Chyabari Homestay will keep/charge full amount. Cancellation fees kept by Chyabari Homestay may be used for a future stay at this property.

Payment and cancellation policies may vary with special offers.

Unless otherwise specified, the initial guarantee deposit is non-refundable.
