Cherrapunjee Inn

The rolling hills and meadows intersperse with pine forests give way to towering peaks with jagged edges.

A small state packed with big surprises, that is quintessentially Meghalaya for you. Innumerable waterfalls, streams, virgin forests with an interesting wildlife, the beautiful hills and valleys veiled in clouds make up a breathtaking canvas enlivened by an equally rich culture of the Khasi people.

Among many places, Cherrapunjee must be in your bucket list if you don’t want to miss the enigma attached to the most beautiful second wettest place on earth. Generally it rains after dark (Oct to April) so you can keep wandering the day and enjoy the pitter-patter of the rains at night. After some time, your ears get used to the rhythm and that’s even more pleasurable. Of course you should keep umbrellas or rain-coats with you and not to forget, rain cover for your backpack.
