The ‘Sambuk Homestay’ is an ideal place to stay. It has two triple bedroom for families and two large rooms a few yards away for groups. All the rooms are very clean and comfortably furnished, with attached bathrooms and electricity. Home made local food is served, fresh and very very appetizing, though you can have certain specialties on request. The hosts can arrange a variety of outdoor activities like guided treks into the valleys and forests, village trails, picnics, White water rafting from Bagua to Champa etc. Birdwatchers paradise as you may see, giant Hornbills, peacocks, kaleej pheasants, jungle fowls, bulbul, flameback, forktails all geared up to keep the shutterbugs busy. The hosts are very friendly, helpful, sincere to your needs and warm and homely. Surely one wouldn’t like to rate their hospitality, there are certain things even today which goes beyond ratings.

Rooms & Tariffs —

Two self-contained cottage with two triple bedroom for families and one self-contained cottage with two large rooms a few yards away for groups have tariff of 1,100 per guest for a day. Rooms are very clean and comfortably furnished, with attached bath & western style toilet.

How to reach —

Nearest rail-head New Jalpaiguri is 72 km through Sevoke and Melli. The road divided at Melli, the straight one goes to Gangtok and left turned road goes to Sambuk via Melli-Nayabazar road.
